As far as a Grama Panchayat is concerned, it is the primary committee that implements the decisions of the Grama Sabha and handles day-to-day administration. The Main Components of a Panchayat are President : The head of the Panchayat. They preside over meetings and supervise the overall functioning of the Panchayat.Vice President : Discharges the duties of the President in their absence.Ward Members : Representatives elected from each ward of the Panchayat.Standing Committees : Formed to streamline and ease the decision-making process of the Panchayat regarding matters such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education.
